July sees the annual Ron Spencer Memorial Open 25 Mile Time Trial Event run by Warrington Road Club, which this year also incorporated the Manchester and District Time Trial Association Annual 25 Mile competition as well. This brought over 100 riders from 44 different teams from the North West in an event which has seen current Tour De France riders Ian Stannard and Steve Cummings win in previous years events.

Warrington Road Clubs Open Four Up Team Time Trial Event is one of the most popular and sort after events in the Local Time Trial Cycling Calendar which proved to continue this year as thirty one teams from the region entered in this year’s competition.
Harry Barker Memorial 50 Mile Individual Time Trial – 6th June 2015
This is the first of four Open Time Trial events that Warrington Road Club organise throughout the season, the first being a 50 Mile Individual Time Trial in memory of Harry Barker who founder the club in 1923.

Jack Gilbert of Warrington Road Club wins the British Cycling Racing Chance Foundation Road Race at Boll Hill on 31st May in the Cat3/4 Event.

Yorkshire Grande Departe – Tour De France 2014
For 2 days in July ‘Ows thee doin became Bonjour, reet chuffed became Je suis tres exict e’, Yorkshire was painted yellow, green and polka dot red and white and some of the Warrington Road Club lads where there to witness the greatest Grande Departe ever.
The scale of the event was awe inspiring and the sheer size of the crowd was incredible.
Our 9 man team comprised Trevor Horton, Ian Ralphs, Chris Dixon, Simon Rigby, Joe Bennett, Paul Mcgowan, Mike Jones, Dave Fox and Carl Johnston joined by Gareth Hinde and John Payne from Leigh Premier.
